Should you become a consultant?
Are you bothered by having someone dictate process and product to you?
Are you bothered by not receiving full credit for what you accomplish?
Do you feel trapped in an uncomfortable work environment?
Can you listen without getting bored when people tell you about a problem you'd like to help them solve?
Do you accept very little of what people tell you as true?
Are you NOT intimidated or awed by authority, rank, position, or academic degrees?  No one is your superior!
Are you self confident?  People easily detect your self-assurance when performing skills at which you are good.
Do you mind struggling for a while?
Can you stand frustration for a while?
Do you like to solve problems without getting involved with office politics?
Are you dissatisfied with your boss, the nature of your work, how much you get paid, where you work, or your career path?
Are you likely to lose your job SOON because your company is downsizing, merging, or closing?
Are you taking early retirement?
Do you provide a valuable service to an employer?
Are you results-oriented, not just work-oriented?
Are you frightened about going out "on your own?"
